Tobacco consumption is still increasing in Great Britain. In January to June, 1924, the quantity was 73 805,7681 b. Last year, for the ssune period, it had increased to 78,411,15^1b. Two banana plants, 12ft. high, have been grown in a garden near Swansea, Wales.
