The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company, Ltd., Hamilton, report the following stock sales held over the week in the Waikato:— At Frankton yesterday:—Dairy cows and heifers met with good competition. Dairy cows at profit made £7 5s to £9 15s; more backward and inferior do., £4 15s to £6 10s; best heifers, £8 10s to £lO 15s; medium heifers, £6 5s to £7 10s; small and backward heifers, £4 10s to £5 15s. At Ohinewai:—Fat cows, £6 7s 6d to £8 Is; killable cows. £5 to £5 Ss; cows in fresh to forward condition, £3 17s to £4 Ss; rough store cows, £2 10s to £2 16s; 20-months to 2-year-old steers, £4 5s to £5 Is; yearling to 15-months-old steers, £2 19s to £3 Ss; yearling Jersey cross heifers, £2 17s to £3 ss; small and backward heifers in calf, £3 10s to £6 ss; dairy cows, £5 to £8; forward wethers, £1 10s. Clearing sale on account J. A. Maxwell, Tauhei, in conjunction with the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd.: 52 Jersey and Jersey cross springing heifers averaged £lO 17s, prices ranging from £9 to £ls 15s; best dairy cow:* made from £9 10s to £l3; others, £5 to £8 10s; pedigree Jersey cows, “Orange Dale’s Fuchsia” 22gns, ‘‘Seaeliffe Fairy Belle” 12gns; pedigree Jersey bulls, “Koro Koro Gallant” 25gns, ‘‘Rower’s Laddie” 19gns; breeding sows, £5 to £7; store porkers, £1 14s; slips, £1 ss; weaners, 12s 6d.
