Press Association. WHAKATAXE, Thursday. A Rugby match was played at Whakatane to-day between the Auckland touring team and a WhakataneRangitaiki combined team. The ground was muddy and the ball was slippery. Nevertheless the game was fast, with many spectacular rushes. The local team won by 12 points to 8.
