LOYAL LEAGUERS

SERVICES RECOGNISED BERT AVERY HONOURED On the return of the New Zealand League team from England, the New Zealand Council presented a medallion to all the loyal members of the team. On presenting the medallions, all the Leagues in New Zealand were asked if they would consent to the medallions carrying free admittance to the various grounds. The Auckland League replied stating that it would be prepared to grant this privilege, but only after the retirement of the various players from the game. As Mr. B. Avery is the first Auckland member of the New Zealand team to definitely retire from the game, he thus has the honour of receiving the privL lege bestowed by the A.R.L.
