A SECRET PROCESS Cameramen at the Paramount studio in Hollywood were mystified over the accomplishment of Harry Fischbeck. Florence Vidor’s cameraman, who exhibited to them a picture of Miss Vidor looking through her own shadow. The photograph reversed all precedent, for Fischbeck used no light at the back of his subject, all of it being concentrated on her face as she looked at the lens of the camera. There was, however, no shadow cast on the background. The process is secret.! Fischbeck declared that he will attempt to get the same effect with a moving picture camera in the star’s present picture, “The World At Her Feet.”
