FLOWERS ON THE WALL
Of china and woodwork, and of attractive colourings, the new wall vases are a delightfully artistic innovation. A trail of fern and dainty flowers from a wall pane!, or from beside a doorway, makes a pretty touch in a room, whether living room or bedroom. Even in the kitchen can they add a cheery note, being out of the way and not likely to be knocked over as ordinary table vases are. These useful pieces of pottery may be reasonably purchased at the leading stores, usually with a hole or two on the fiat back to be hung on a rail, on door panels, or wall. But the handy woman can easily adapt an oldfashioned china or porcelain ornament, so popular some years ago, for the purpose, or even paint a box or tin with a fiat back, to hold a vase or glass of water. Leaves and fern cover the box and achieve a dainty, effect.
