NORTHERN GOLF
WHANGAREI TOURNEY (Special to THE SUN.) WHANGAREI, Tuesday. In the first tourney played under the auspices of the AVhangarei Golf Club. Thomson defeated Buckley, 1 up in the championship. The four players to win through to the semi-finals were Buckley. Donoghue, Thomson and Wallace. Buckley met Donoghue and defeated him, 3 up and 2 to play, while Thomson defeated Wallace, 7 up and 6 to play. A foursome will be played on Saturday, players to choose their own partners and opponents.
