With the object of clearing up differences in connection with the Herbert Smith Trust of £IO,OOO for the encouragement of athletic competitions, jt has been decided to appeal to the Supreme Court to secure the retirement of one of the trustees. Messrs. G. B. Smith and F. A, de la Mare cannot agree on principles of administration. The object of the trust is to encourage athletics in a manner best calculated to induce the greatest numv nf r of children between the ages of nine and lifteen years to become hardy nien and women of character.
