WHANGAREI WOMEN’S CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING On Wednesday afternoon the seventh annual meeting of the Women’s Club was attended by some 60 members, Mrs. J. A. S. Mackay presiding. For the current year, Mrs. J. E. Holmes was elected president, with Mrs. A. D. Jack vice-president, and the retiring members of the committee were replaced by Mesdames Byrne, Campbell and Good. Mrs. Harman Smith succeeded Mrs. Beere as treasurer, and Mrs. Wolff continues as secretary. During the afternoon the prizes won at the recent bridge tournament were presented to Mesdames Campbell, Hall, Byre and Mackie. Prizes for the highest individual scores went to Mesdames Laurie and Reynolds.
