COMING-OF-AGE PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. A. Bradbury, of East Tamaki, gave a delightful dance and social evening in the East Tamaki Public Hall on Friday, in honour of their daughter Charlotte’s 21st birthday. Mrs. Bradbury received her guests wearing a smart gown of brown brocade, with beige trimmings. Miss Charlotte Bradbury wore a dainty frock of parma violet crepe de chine, with silver lace overdress. The hall had been prettily decora,ted for the occasion with streamers of blue and gold. Several pleasing musical items were contributed during the evening by Miss McCarroll, Miss Baverstock, Mrs. McDowall, Mr. F. Toms, Mr. Kenell, Mr. A. Deverell and Mr. Sanderson. Among those present were: Mrs. Toms, lavender satin gown. Mrs. McDowall, saxe blue silk moracain gown. Mrs. Christensen, apricot accordionpleated crepe de chine frock. Mrs. West, blue brocaded moracain gown. Mrs. Christensen, hyacinth blue crepe tie chine frock. Mrs. West, pretty gown of ashes of roses crepe. Miss Gandiol, bois de rose silk frock with overdress of gold. Miss F. Bradbury, moonlight blue crepe de chine frock. Miss West, Betty blue georgette frock. Miss Toms, fawn satin with Oriental trimmings. , . Miss P. Bradbury, pinlc crepe de chine frock, with silver trimmings. Miss D. Bradbury, moonlight blue crepe de chine frock. . _ Miss McCarroll, rose pink crepe de chine frock, trimmed with guipure lace. Miss Masterton, beige crepe de chine frock. Miss McGregor, putty georgette accor-dion-pleated frock. , . . . ....
