GOLDEN AGE. —For the week ended August 27 the manager reports:—“The crosscut through the main reef has been advanced 7ft. We now meet with the hanging wall of reef, which proves to be 10ft in width. The country encasing the hanging wall is everything that could be desired. The rise has been extended a distance of 7ft for the week, making a total distance of 25ft. The lead in ths footwall showed colours of gold.” LUCKY SHOT.—The manager reports for the week ended August 27:—"The drive on the footwall dropper has been advanced a distance of lift for the week. making a total distance of 31ft from its junction with the main reef. Quarts broken down shows strong blotches of gold. Driving on the main reef has been advanced a distance of Bft for the week, making a total distance of 120 ft. The reef is bearing away to the east. It is heavily mineralised and shows colours of gold in the footwall portion.”
