H.M.S. DUNEDIN SAILS.—The flagship of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, H.M.S. Dunedin, kit Auckland at 8.15 a.m. to-day for the llauraki Gulf where the crew will engage in gunnery exercises. On Friday next she will engage in heavy gun firing. The warship returns to port again on September 9. PORT PIRIE REPORTED.— The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Pirie is reported to have cleared St. Vincent lasT Thursday, in continuation of her voyage from New Zealand » London. The vessel was despatched from Wellington on July 21. TREMEADOW FROM NEW YORK.— Running under the auspices of the A and A. Line, the Hain steamer Tremeadofc is scheduled to sail from New York oil September 14 for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. Sne is due at Auckland on October 19. WAIRUNA IN PORT.— The Union Company’s trans-Pacific cargo steamer "VCairuna arrived in the stream at Auckland on Saturday evening from Pacific Coast ports via Papeete, and berthed yesterday morning at the Queen’s Wharf. On thl* voyage the vessel loaded her cargo at Vancouver, Powell Rjver, Ocean Falls and San Francisco, and cleared the latter port on August 1 for Papeete and New Zealand. Good weather was experienced until the Wairuna neared New Zealand, when she ran into strong south-west wincis with moderate seas. Captain J.
