PONSONBY STABBING
BENTLEY RECOVERING BROOKS AGAIN REMANDED Alexander Percy Cuthbert Bentley, who was stabbed in a fracas in Wanganui Avenue, Ponsonby, last week, is now almost recovered and will shortly be discharged from hospital. Herbert Marshall Brooks, aged 47, appeared again at the Police Court today charged with wounding Bentley with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Chief-Detective Ward in asking for a further week’s remand, mentioned that the injured man had recovered. The remand was granted, and the hail of £IOO renewed.
