FIRE AT ONEHUNGA
MOTOR-CAR DAMAGED The Onehunga Fire Brigade received a call yesterday afternoon at 1.22 o’clock to the garage of Mr. A. Crawbb on Mt. Smart Road. While cranking his car the engine backfired and set alight to the vehicle and Mr. Crawbb was compelled to call in the services of the brigade. The men were promptly on the scene and subdued the flames. They saved the garage, but the hood and upholstery of the car were badly damaged. The insurance on the car amounted to £IOO. Delegates are attending the conference at the invitation of the Italian Government.
