At Victoria Square this afternoon, in the presence of 800 spectators, Cambridge defeated Otorohanga in a fast and exciting game by 11 points to 9. For the home side, Dan Bourke and McNamara scored tries; W. Bourke kicked a penalty goal and converted one try. For Otorohanga, Smith and Foster stored tries; and Boggs kicked a penalty goal. The game was a good one. On the run of play there was little between the two teams. Cambridge had the advantage territorially in the first half, but in the last quarter the visitors made a fine effort to snatch victory.
