CHARGES FOR CABLES By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright GENEVA, Thursday. \t the Press Conference Mr. Holtz, of* the Australian Press Association, Melbourne, moved in favour of the elimination of the terminal charges made bv Governments on incoming cable messages. He pointed out that the charges dated from the time when the Governments handled the messages but they had been continued even when no service was rendered. A resolution on these lines was carried without dissent. It was also decided on the motion of Mr. Holtz, to demand that wireless -press rates should be reduced in accordance with the lower cost of wireless compared with cable transmission. —A. and -N.Z.
