MAUKU ATHLETIC CLUB’S MEETING

A GOOD SEASON PUKEKOHE, To-day. On Thursday evening the annual meeting of the Mauku Athletic Club was held at Patumahoe, the president, Mr A. Woolsey, presiding. The financial statement presented by the treasurer, Mr. H. V. Walker, showed that the receipts at the 1927 meeting were £ 307 2s 5d and the expenditure £309 5s sd. The club had a credit balance of £Bl 17s F>d, with an excess of assets over liabilities of £2O ss. Officers elected were:—Patron, Air. E. r>. McLennan, M.P.; vice-patrons, Messrs. H. E. R. L. Wily. The matter of holding a shoot in conjunction with the sports was mentioned. and it was deferred pending inquiries as to the staging of the same.
