HAPPY TOWN

The Sunbeams all come trooping in A merry, laughing band; Every Saturday evening they seek the pleasure land, The keeper then unlocks the door that leads to street and lea. The Sunbeams follow, trooping in, the wondrous sights to see.

Our kindly Joy Shopkeeper wave? a welcome from his store, The shining Little Thought skims up and quietly shuts the door. The Dawn Lady comes down the lawn each laughing child to greet, Then with ther Little Thought they all skip joyful down the street. —Becky Pelham (aged 13).
