UNEMPLOYED COLLECTION
DISTRIBUTION OF MONEY The sum of £302 14s was raised yesterday as the result of the st'-eet collection for the relief of unemployment. There is additional money collected in factories and in the suburbs, not yet handed in, and this will augment the sum. A committee representing the Unemployed Association met a special committee of the Auckland City Council last evening to discuss the distribution of the money. It was agreed that the council should be recommended to use the collection in providing subsidised works for the relief of unemployment.
