COASTAL MOVEMENTS— The Matanga, sailing at seven o’clock to-night for Tauranga, returns to Auckland on Sunday morning. The Omana sails at 6.30 p.m. to-day for Surfdale, Ostend, and Omiha, and is due back here to-morrow. The Hauiti left Auckland shortly after 1 p.m. to-day for Coromandel, and returns here to-morrow. The Taniwha, due here to-morrow from Paeroa, sails at 11.30 p.m. on Sunday on her return trip. The Claymore arrives at Auckland tomorrow from Whangarei. and leaves on her return trip at 9 p.m. on Sunday. The Paroto is to leave Auckland at noon to-morrow for Awanui and Waipapakauri. The Apanui sails from Auckland at midnight on Sunday for Mercury Bay, Tairua, and Whangamata. The Clansman, which arrived at Auckland this morning from Russell, Opua, Whangaroa, and Mangonui, leaves on Monday at 5 p.m. for the same ports. The Canadian Prospector is to leave Lyttelton to-day for Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Port Albany should clear Lyttelton to-day for Dunedin and Melbourne, to land the balance of her New York cargo. The Katoa arrived at Auckland this morning from Southern ports, and berthed at the Prince’s Wharf. The destination of this vessel has not yet been fixed; In any case, she will not leave Auckland before Monday next. The Kurow, leaving Lyttelton at noon to-day for Auckland direct, arrives here on Monday next. After discharge here the vessel loads for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Kamona, from Greymouth. was to leave Tauranga this morning for Auckland, and is due here to-night. After discharge the Kamona will undergo her annual overhaul and survey at Auck-

land. The Waiporl, now loading at Greymouth, will complete at Westport for Napier and Auckland. She will now omit New Plymouth. The Waimea arrived at Napier at 6.30 a.m. to-day. It is doubtful, owing to rain, if she will leave Napier this evening for Auckland. The Kaimar.awa is now to leave Portland, where she is loading cement, for Wellington and Lyttelton to-morrow afternoon. . , . , . The Gunbar is due at Auckland next Wednesday from East Coast ports, and sails the following day on her return trip to Gisborne and Napier, via bays. The Westmoreland arrived at Napier at midnight last night from Auckland, and leaves to-morrow for "Wellington, Lvttelton, and Port Chalmers. The Cvmrio Pride, now completing her discharge of Java sugar at Chelsea, leaves 1 to-morrow for Westport for bunkers before proceeding to Makatea Island to load phosphates for Australia. The Walcheren arrived at Lyttelton this morning from Wellington, and sails on Monday for Dunedin and Australia. The City of Carlisle leaves Lyttelton to-dav for Dunedin and Tasmania, to land the remainder of her New York

cargo. The Coronation sailed early this morning for Awanui North. Messrs. A. G. Prankham and Co. advise that she is due back again on Sunday night, and sails again on Monday on the return trip. The Tiroa, arriving from the coast on Sunday, loads on Monday and sails again at noon on Tuesday for Hicks Bay and Gisborne. The Elsie Mary left last night for Gisborne. She is expected back again early next week to load for the return trip. The Hikurangi sailed yesterday for Onerahi. The Mahurangi left last night for the coast. The Kauri Timber Company’s paddletug Lyttelton arrived back at Auckland early this morning from Thames with a raft of logs in tow. The Parker Lamb Timber Company’s tug Akaroa, Captain Jackson, arrived at midnight last night from Manaia, with a raft of logs in tow'. The Richardson Line steamer Awahou is expected to arirve from the East Coast on Sunday evening. Messrs. Watkin and Wallis, the local agents, advise that she is to load on Monday and Tuesday, and sail at 5 p.m. on Tuesday for Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay and Gisborne. The Richardson steamer Mako is due from the coast, via Portland, on Sunday. She loads on Monday and Tuesday and leaves at noon on Tuesday for Cape Runaway, Hicks Bay, To Araroa, Port Napier, Lottin Point and Wairoa.
