PROBABLY as a result of Maori actors taking risks to outdo American film roughriders, Paoi Roia was admitted to hospital yesterday in a serious condition. The accident occurred at White Pine Bush during the filming of “Te Kooti’s Trail." With 30 other riders, Paoi was galloping over a log-strewn piece of country, when he collided with two other horsemen. All three were thrown, but the others escaped with minor injuries. The young Maori's horse fell on him.
