CHILD ENDOWMENT BURDEN ON TRADE

NEW SOUTH WALES LAW By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright x SYDNEY, Thursday. At the annual meeting of the New South Wales Chamber of Manufacturers, the president referred to the burden imposed by recent State legislation. He said the promise made by the Premier, Mr. Lang, to extend the child endowment scheme would cost an additional £20,000,000 to the people of the State. Such an attempt would either result in the factories being closed or in their removal to other parts where saner views prevailed.—A. and N.Z.
