O’RORKE VASE
FEW ENTRIES POSSIBLE The O’Rorke Vase, won by the best aggi'egate score of teams of four in the final round of the Open Championships, will not be a very prominent event at the championships this year. Auckland and Titirangi will be able to put teams in the field, and Palmerston North, Hamilton and Wanganui will also be able to compete. Wellington may be able to enter two teams, depending on how the players are entered. Eight players are coming up from the capital, and most of them belong to both Miramar and Heretaunga. Between them they should be able to raise one good team. On the face of it the Titirangi team with Morpeth, George, Goulding and Robinson should stand fairly even chances with Wellington and Hamilton. Six teams in the field will provide a poor showing compared with some of the competitions of the past.
