RUGBY REINFORCEMENTS
HAWKE’S BAY TEAM BROWNLIE ON THE WAY The possibility that Hawke’s Bay would meet Auckland with only a weak team was lessened tliis morning, when the following message was
received from the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union: “B r o w n 1 i e and other reinforcements are on the way.” The message may be taken to mean that Maurice Brownlie and probably Swain. Yates, S. Gemmell anil Blake are coming North to join the team.
Even if no other stars arrive, tho presence of Brownlie alone will make a difference, as his leadership is invariably an inspiration to the side. Notes on the constitution of the Bay team appear on page 7.
