CARGO PILLAGE

WELLINGTON IS SENSITIVE Press Association. WELLINGTON. To-day. AT the Harbour Board meeting "*■ to-day it was stated that claims for pillage against the Board during the past year amounted to only £1 16s 3d. One member, however, said that this was not by a long way all the pillage that had been paid for by shipping companies. Other members took exception to this and the suggestion was made that the shipping companies should give the amount they had to pay at respective ports, so that it could be seen what the position actually was.
