LONDON PRICES Under date August 19 the London agency of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board cabled the following resume of the London markets: — BUTTER New Zealand. —Salted, 166 s to 172 s per cwt (168 sto 1725); unsalted, 172 s to 1765, up to 17Ss (172 sto 1765). August is generally a poor selling month. The forward position is sound. Australian.—Salted, 166 s to 170 s (166 s to 170 s); unsalted, 168 s to 174 s (168 s to 1745). Argentine.—Finest unsalted, 166 s to 170 s (166 s to 170 s). Irish. Creamery.—Salted, 162 s to 164 s (160 sto 1625); unsalted, 166 s to 168 s (166 s to 168 s). Dutch. —Unsalted, 170 s (168 s to 170 s). Estonian. —Salted, 163 s to 166 s (160 s to 1625); unsalted, 170 s to 172 s (164 s to 16Ss). Latvian.—Unsalted, 164 s (1645). Siberian. —144 s to 146 s (142 s to 148 s). Danish.—l7ss to 176 s (1765). There is a better German demand. Retail prices are: Danish, Is 9d; Now Zealand, Is Sd. CHEESE New Zealand.—White and coloured, 90s to 93s (92s to 945). Market continuing quiet but firm. Canadian. —White and coloured. 92s to 94s (92s to 955). It was estimated the Canadian production is down 25 per cent, this season. English.—Finest farmers, 112 s to 116 s (112 s to 116 s). Retail price, New Zealand cheese, Is.
