A POLICE COUP

train full of socialists SURPRISE RAID AT BERLIN

By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright BERLIN, Monday. A special train conveying 435 adherents of the Fascist National Socialistic Party from Nurnberg, where it held its celebrations, was suddenly stopped in a lonely spot outside Berlin. The train was immediately surrounded by a cordon of 250 police, who ordered the Fascists to alight and enter 36 motor-lorries on the roadside. Under an armed guard the Fascists made an inglorious entry into Berlin. After being searched for arms and documents they were allowed to proceed to their homes. In the meantime crowds of supportters -waiting the arrival of the train were amazed to find it empty.—A. and N.Z.
