CONSTABLE SHOT DEAD
PITTSBURG TRAGEDY NEW YORK, Tuesday. At Pittsburg last evening John Downey, a member of the State Constabulary, was shot dead while he was assisting to break up a Sacco-Vanzetti protest meeting. These meetings and death-watches were held all over the country. Hundreds of picketers were arrested at Boston. The police clubbed a man and a woman in New York.—A. and N.Z.
