HAWKE’S BAY NOT A STRONG SIDE
Press Association. NAPIER, Tuesday. Unexpected difficulties in the selection of the Hawke’s Bay team to play Auckland next Saturday have led to a weakening of the touring side. M. Brownlie, .T. Blake, C. Brownlie, G. Conrad, .T. Swain and S. Gemmell are not available, and the team is largely a “colt” combination. The team left Napier this morning, and will play Wanganui to-morrow. Its members are: Backs: J. Seal. W. Huxtable, W. Barclay, G. Grenside, T. Corkill, E. Te Ngaio, W. Edwards, TAnstis. Forwards: E. Single, R. Tankard. W. Wilson, _R. Steer, C. Campbell, J. Gemmell, R. Simon, W. Hefferman, N. Rolls. Other players will probably be sent forward for the Auckland game.
