CHATHAM CUP
PROVINCIAL FINAL (Special to THE SUN.) ROTOWARO, To-day. The I-lotowaro team against Ponsonby at Huntly on Saturday is as follows:—Goal, B. Caldwell; backs, F. Hall and T. Dodds; halves, J. Crookes, J. Carrick (captain), and R. Beaumont; forwards, C. Berry, E. Bullough, P. McCallum. R. Dodds and P. Hunter. Of the team. Caldwell is an exSouth Auckland rep. E. Hall was captain of all the South Auckland teams which successfully defended the Brown Shield last season. Dodds is the South Auckland left back, Garlick is an ex-South Auckland rep. also. These are the best known members of the team, but Beaumont is a very good left half, and R. Dodds and P. Hunter, at left wing, have shown excellent form this season, both having been selected as reserves in South Auckland sides this season.
