PERSONAL. —Captain G. D. Fraser, late master of the Kahika, arrived at Auckland this morning to take command of the YVaipahi, vice Captain J. D. Lundie, who comes ashore for instructions. * THE CANADIAN PROSPECTOR.— The Canadian Government Line steamer Canadian Prospector is at present at Wellington discharging. She is expected to leave the Southern port to-night or to-morrow morning for Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due back at Auckland as a final loading port about September 4, before leaving for New Y r ork, Boston and Montreal. TAMAROA COMPLETING. —At present completing her loading at Wellington, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company is dispatching the liner Tamaroa at daybreak next Saturday for Southampton and London via Panama. H UIA AT BRISBANE.—From Auckland, via Hokianga, the Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia reached Brisbane yesterday. After unloading her timber cargo she is to go to Melbourne to load explosives for Queensland. HORORATA AT WANGANUl.—Arriving at Wanganui this morning from Lyttelton, the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the steamer Hororata wilf leave on Friday for Wellington, where she completes loading and finally departs on August 30 for London via Panama. CARGO FOR TAURANGA.—Owing to the Kamona occupying the berth at The Mount, Tauranga, the Matangi will not be able to call there on her next trip, leaving at 7 p.m. to-morrow. All cargo for The Mount must therefore be consigned to Tauranga itself. PORT MELBOURNE DELAYED.—Due at Lyttelton to-morrow morning from Napier, the C. and D. Line advises that the steamer Port Melbourne leaves on Friday for Wellington to complete ht-r loading. She is now announced to sail finally from Wellington next Sunday morning for London via the Cape Horne route. RIMUTAKA’S MOVEMENTS.—Now at Bluff loading for Home, the New Zealand Shipping Company expects the steamer Rimutaka to leave there to-morrow for Lyttelton and Wellington to complete. She is scheduled to sail Anally from the lastmentioned port on August 31 for Southampton and London via Panama. SYDNEY STEAMERS. —The Union Company advises that the passenger steamers Marama and Maheno arrived at Sydney this morning from New Zealand. The Maheno is to leave Sydney at noon on Friday for Auckland, and the Marama at 3 p.m. the same day for Wellington. Both vessels are due at tlieir New Zealand ports next Tuesday morning. NEWCASTLE STEAMERS. The Union Company advises that the eollier Kawatiri leaves Auckland at 5 p.m. today for Newcastle to load for New Zealand, and the Whangape sailed from Newcastle at 11.30 p.m. last Saturday for Auckland. The Whangape is due here next Friday, and after discharge here will undergo her annual overhaul and survey at this port. WAIRUNA REPORTS. —According to a| radio message received by the Union Company, the cargo steamer Wairuna, from Pacific Coast ports via Apia, Samoa, is expected to arrive at Auckland at 2 p.m. next Saturday. After discharging here the vessel will proceed to Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney to complete. HINEMOA RADlOS.—Spedding, Limited has been advised by radio that the Gov- ; ernment steamer Hlnemoa is expected to arrive at Auckland early on Thursday , morning from Suva. She is announced to sail from here next Friday evening for Niue Island. REMUERA HOME.—The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cable advice that the liner Remuera arrived at Southampton last Saturday from Auckland. The vessel sailed from Auckland on July 15 with passengers, mails and KIA ORA LEAVES LlVEßPOOL.—According to cable advice received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, the steamer Kia Ora sailed from Liverpool last Saturday with general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here on September 28. ATHOLL FROM NEW YORK. —Running under the auspices of the A. and A. Line the steamer Atholl is scheduled to leave New York to-morrow with case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Wanganui. She is due at Auckland about October 3. The New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent. OIL FROM SINGAPORE.—The steamer El Cievro is reported to have sailed from Singapore last Saturday with oil for New Zealand. The vessel is owned by Lobitos Oilfield, Limited, and her port of registry is London. She was built at Newcastle-on-Tyne in 1923, by ArmstrongWhitworth and Company, Limited, and her former name was the Tricentrol. THE NORTHUMBERLAND. With general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain, the Federal Line steamer Northumberland is scheduled to leave Liverpool on September 3 for Atiokland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. She is due at Auckland on October 10. The New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent. MIDDLESEX AT COLON —En route from London with cargo for discharge at Wellington and Auckland, the Federal steamer Middlesex is reported to have arrived at Colon last Saturday. The vessel is due at Wellington on September 12 and at Auckland a week later. The New Zealand Shipping Company will be the local agents. CAMBRIDGE FOR AMERICA AND ENGLAND.—Owing to rain the Federal steamer Cambridge was unable to finish her loading at Wellington yesterday consequently her departure for Napier’ Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay and Auckland was postponed until to-day. Maori, Wahine, Arahura, 1 Ngaio, Hororata, Cambridge, Port , Albany, City of Carlisle, Canadian Prospector, Sutherland. < Awarua.—Makura, Tahiti, Karetu, Tutanekai. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—DEPARTURES YESTERDAY RARAWA (3.30 p.m.), 1,077 tons, Bark, for New Plymouth. N G ATI AW A (5.30 p.m.), 451 tons, Pert, for Raglan and Kawhia. The Rarawa, arriving at Onehunga at ' 7.30 a.m. to-morrow from New Plymouth, - leaves again on the return trip at 3 p.m. : on Thursday. The Arapawa, sailing this afternoon for Wanganui, returns direct to Onehunga again about Friday next. The Ngatiawa, which left yesterday 1 evening for Raglan, Kawhia and Port < Waikato, returns to Onehunga again at 6 a.m. on Thursday. She will be dispatched at 2 p.m. the same day for Hokianga. , The Anchor Line steamer, Kaitoa, is ) due at Onehunga on Thursday next from ' Nelson to load for Picton only. (
