MADGE BELLAMY

NEW FOX CONTRACT Madge Bellamy has signed a new long term contract to appear exclusively in Fox pictures. After free lancing for a few months, Miss Bellamy will resume work at once on the Fox lot in the title role of “Colleen." a breezy Irish comedy. Including Miss Bellamy, all the principals in ‘'Colleen” except Sammy Cohen boast Irish ancestry. Charles Morton will play the male lead. Tom Macguire appears as her father and J. Farrell Macdonald has an import - ant part. Marjorie Beebe and Ted McNamara have comedy roles. The director of “Colleen” is Irish, too. This will be the first picture produced by Frank O’Connor under his new contract with Fox Films. After long experience directing stage plays. O’Connor first demonstrated his cinematic skill with "Penrod,” which he codirected with Marshall Neilan.
