BOATS COLLIDE IN STORMY WEATHER
ENGLAND RAIN-SWEPT AN EXPRESS DERAILED (British Official Wireless. — Copyright) RUGBY, Sunday. Very bad weather is being experienced in England. London has not had one day free from rain for 17 days. At the week-end heavy seas were again experienced round the coasts. The Channel boats yesterday had the worst crossings this year. Two accidents traceable to the weather occurred yesterday. Outside Fishguard, Wales, two Irish mail boats collided in the darkness, driving rain and heavy seas, but thanks to clever seamanship no serious damage or loss of life occurred. The London-Margate express left the line through part of the track having been damaged by rain. No one was seriously hurt.—A. and N.Z.
