Club Premiership Still Unsolved

THE Auckland Rugby League is at present suffering from in Auckland’s win over Manawhenua on Saturday. The tour to be embarked upon next month and the visit of a Sydney club side, this season promises to beat all records for the number of playing Saturdays which already looks like extending well on into spring. “It never rains but it pours.” On Saturday, the League authorities were furnished with fresh food for thought by the victories of Newton and Ponsonby in their respective games. Both teams have an identical record of wins and losses, and as a consequence a play-off will be necessary. There is, however, the comforting reflection that it should furnish one of the games of the year and a record club gate.
