TIMBERS IMPROVING BANKS SELLING Bank shares continue to attract investors, and frequent sales fire reported. Kauri Timbers saw a sale at 25s Gd at the mid-day, with firm buyers still in at 25s 3d. The whole timber section indicates a general improvement. Mining continues weak, with few shares commanding attention. Coals are in good tone, with firm buyers for most parcels. Hikurangi (ord.) improved to see a sale at 3s 3d 'this morning. Government and local body bonds and debentures remain quiet and inactive.
