A debate on the proposition “That the new freedom of woman is in the best interests of herself and of the community” was among the attractions at a successful social, the fourth of the present season, held by the Workers’ Educational Associagon on Saturday evening. The affirmative was taken by Mrs. E. W. Moore and Miss G. M. Fowler. Messrs. Simpson and Martin supported the negative. The programme also included songs by Mrs. Mason and Mr. Simpson, a violin solo by Miss Daly, and a recitation by Miss Lilian Skeets.
