CITY OF LOVELY WOMEN Cardiff, in Wales, justly noted for its civic buildings, open spaces and shopping centres, has another cause for pride. It is a city of beautiful women. Listen to the Lord Mayor, Alderman William Grey: “I receive many visitors at the City Hall,” he told a London reporter. “Almost invariably when they sign the visitors’ book they not only offer congratulations on the appearance of the city, but always say, ‘You should be proud of your lovely women.’ “And I am,” added the Lord Mayor.
