HUNT CLUB TO RETAIN LABOUR DAY. WELLINGTON. To-day. It is understood that, after a good deal of discussion and a number of conferences, a settlement of the tropic in connection with the Labour Day racing dates, has been arrived at. Yesterday the Racing Conference representatives met members of the Legislature co-ncerned, including the Prime Minister, and the whole matter was reviewed at great length. An official announcement from Cabinet has been delayed by the illness of the Minister of Internal- Affairs, but it is stated that the Waikato Racing Club pavsd the way out of the trouble by giving way to '.lt; Hunt Club and the latte.- v. ill race or. i,ab:ur Say.
