NURSES’ DANCE AT AVONDALE

A very successful dance was held last evening by the matron and nurses of the Avondale Mental Hospital. The ballroom was gaily decorated with streamers and bowls of rhododendrons and camellias, while the stage, where the musicians were seated, was converted into a cosy little lounge corner. Dance music, was provided by Parker’s Orchestra, and some delightful extras were played by Clive Howley and another member of the Dixieland Internationals.
