HEIFETZ
BOX PLANS NOW OPEN On Thursday night next and Saturday, August 27, the world-famous violinist Heifetz will present two recitals at the Town Hall, and judging by the booking recorded at Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd., his concerts will be as liberally patronised as they were in Wellington, where the huge Town Hall was taxed to its utmost capacity during his season there. Of one of the concerts give in Sydney by the young virtuoso, a critic wrote: “All received more than they expected. Of strictly musical interest there was no lack. Of subtle, expressive playing, reflective and poetic, there was a gratifying abundance. Of well varied light, colour and shade there was a constant play. Of bewitching effects peculiar to the violin in the hands of a master, there were many to astonish and delight the ear.” It is notified that the 12s 6d and 10s 6d plans are now open at Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd., and that the management is making very liberal allowances so as to encourage the cultivation of music by students. For their consideration in this respect, Messrs. J. and N. Tait (under whose management the Australian and New Zealand tour is being made) have received many letters of thanks and commendation.
