“TIN HATS” TO-NIGHT 'She won by a neck! When Edward Sedgwick was seeking the leading feminine player in “Tin Hats,” the M e tro - Gold wyn-Mayer picture now being shown at the Grand Theatre, one of the primary requisites of his heroine was a beautiful neck and shoulders. One look over the motion picture
and Claire Windsor won without even a test. The part is that of a lovely German girl of the upper classes, typical of the old world aristocracy. A beautiful neck and shoulders to offset the low cut gowns of 1319 were necessary to any actress that won the part.
And Miss Windsor’s regal grace and beauty showed Sedgwick that she was the ideal type he sought. Conrad Nagel plays opposite Claire Windsor in this convulsing comedy of the Army of Occupation in Germany, and Bert Roach, George Cooper and Tom O’Brien are in the cast.
