ELECTRIC COURSING GREAT VOGUE IN BRITAIN By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright LONDON, Thursday. The sudden popularity of greyhound racing with electric hares has led to extraordinary developments. Thirty companies have been formed in London and other large cities in Britain, with a total capital of £1,000,000. At meetings at the White City at Karl’s Court, London, the attendances have been 90.000, and the gross takings have been on an average of £15,000 a week. The new sport has resulted in a boom in the shares in dogs. Some £1 shares are now worth £ 10. A dog which was worth £lO a few months ago was sold for £ 350. Any sort of greyhound pup has now a high market value.—A. and N.Z.
