CHATHAM CUP-TIE

THE WARO WANDERERS TEAM (From Our Otun Correspondent.) HIKURANGI, To-day. Waro. the coal-mining: eleven from the North, is a strong, determine d team. Rodgers, the captain, who captained the North reps against the Canadians. is a fine defensive player. Ackers and Wilson also have rep hon - ours to their credit. The Wanderers' forwards are very nippy, and the halfback line very strong. Rodgers will be missing from the middle line, hav - ing to play left back. The defence can be depended upon. Waro is the winner of the Campbell Cup competition, and was only beaten twice this season. Waro was the only team in the Northland district to challenge for the Chatham Cup, and plays the same type of football as Ponsonby. Mac Nay is a doubtful starter owing to recent injuries.
