Wallace Beery, Paramount comedian, appears upon the screen as a star in his own right for the first time in “Casey at the Bat,” a rollicking baseball comedy. This was caused by the waves of approval which followed in the wake of “Behind the Front” and “We’re in the Navy Now’.” * * * Tom Moore has one of the principal roles in Gilda Gray’s second starring picture for Paramount, “Cabaret.” Mr Moore isn’t a stranger at the Long Island studio as he played in “Big Brother,” “A Kiss for Ginderella,” and "The Song and Dance Man,” all of which were made there.
