TIVOLI
“THE IMPOSTOR” Evelyn Brent, a missing jewel, a battle in the dark, a race between the girl, the jewel thief and the hero, the heights of a society garden party, the depths of a New York gambling den — these are a few of the flashing lights that shoot through “The Impostor,” her latest release, which will be shown at the Tivoli Theatre to-night. Miss Brent’s remarkable versatility is displayed to the utmost in this tense drama, which was adapted by Ewart Adamson from Clifford Howard’s story and Director Chet Withey has maintained all the original thrill and suspense in concentrated form on the screen. The innumerable followers of Miss Brent will flock to see the vivacious star in her newest vehicle, and it is safe to say that none of them will be disappointed. Swift, searching crosssections of the high and low spots of life, adroitly balanced by deft touches of comedy action, mark this as one of the plays" of the year.
