ANNUAL MEETING (From Our Oion Correspondent.) WAIHI, Wednesday. The Ohinemuri Miners’ Union has elected the following officers: —President, Mr. E. Dye; vice-president, Mr. J. R. Slevin; secretary and workmen’s inspector, Mr. W. Bice; treasurer, Mr. E. Lyndon; trustees, Messrs. P. Murphy and H. A. Pipe; committee, Messrs. S. Elliot. W. Owens, A. H. Payne (representing Waikino), T. Barker, P. McConnell, N. W. Smith. D. Coutts, C. Moore, W. King, L. Williams, J. O'Shea, and C. Carpenter (Waihi). A resolution was carried supporting Mr. J. A. Lee’s Bill abolishing compulsory military service.
