BEAUTY FINALISTS IN CHRISTCHURCH (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. In the voting which will decide who is to have the title of “Miss New Zealand,” Christchurch continues to show preference for Miss Leon McCall (Miss Canterbury). Miss Hazel Spiers (Miss Wellington) has gained one place on the aggregate list: First: Miss Dale Austen (“Miss Otago”). Second: Miss Vera Hodge (Maid o£ Honour to “Miss Otago”). Third: Miss Leon McCall (“Miss Canterbury”). Fourth: Miss Hazel Spiers (‘‘Miss Wellington”). Fifth: Miss Morgie Cameron (Maid of Honour to “Miss Southland”). Sixth: Miss Billie Andreasson (“Miss Auckland”).
Seventh: Miss Hildred Graham (Maid of Honour to “Miss Auckland”). Eighth: Miss Winnie Tonkinson (“Miss Southland”). Ninth: Miss Pat Smidt (Maid of Honour to “Miss Wellington”). Tenth: Miss Jane Kinsey (Maid of Honour to “Miss Canterbury”).
