N.Z. INSURANCE ACTIVE COALS FIRM The tone of the market to-day is quiet, with few sales. Bank shares are all easier, but have been selling: freely. Insurance shares are all firm, especially New Zealands, with buyers quoting 40s, sellers 4ls. Coal shares are in demand in most stocks; Pukemiros stand with buyers 60s, no sellers appearing. Shipping is quiet, with few buyers quoting. Both Kempthorne, Prosser and New Zealand Farmers’ Fertiliser shares are weak and unsupported.
