The charge brought by the Phyllis Court Club, of Henley, against Gavin Henderson, for causing damage by fire, was dismissed. On the eve of his wedding, friends of Henderson poured a tin of petrol into the Thames, and set it alight. The flames damaged the Cromwellian wall of the Phyllis Court Club.
