One Tree Hill Ladies One Tree Hill ladies held a most successful open day yesterday, the conditions being excellent. Results: Senior Medal Competition.—Mrs. Dignan, 102 —IS, 84; Miss D. Four-ball Best-ball Bogey.—Mrs. Reid and Mrs. O’Leary, 3 up; Mrs. Hutchinson and Mrs. Burnett, 3 up; Miss Carnachan and Miss McGowan, 2 up; Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Swain, 2 up. Auckland Ladies The senior and junior championships of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club we.re advanced a further stage yesterday, with the second rounds of match play. The weather was ideal for golf. The greens were in good order, but the fairways were heavy in places. Results of the championship matches are as follow: Seniors. —Miss E. Culling beat Miss T. Bayly, 5 and 4; Miss E. M. Upton beat Mrs. Rutherford, 2 and 1; Miss F. Rathbone beat Miss F. Hamlin, 3 and 2; Mrs. Dufaur beat Mrs. Robertson, 6 and 5. Juniors. —Mrs. Endean beat Mrs. Rainger, 3 and 2; Mrs. Gorrie beat Mrs. Foster, 8 and 6; Miss E. Mahoney beat Miss C. Bayly, 3 and 2; Miss K. Clark beat Mrs. Pugh, 4 and 3. Following were the best cards returned in a bogey competition: Mrs. Rutherford, all square; Mrs. Gorrie, 1 down; Miss K. Clark, 2 down. The semi-finals of the championships must be played before Friday, August 2G. A match for C grade players will take place on Friday. Entries will be received until noon. Hamilton Ladies An open tournament will be held by the Hamilton Ladies’ Golf Club on St. Andrew’s links, Hamilton, on October 12, 13 and 14. The chief event on the programme will be the open championship, the winner o' which will hold the Ellis Cup for the year. The present holder of the cup is Miss M. Payton, who also won It in 1921.
